KSRTC offers free WiFi hotspots at major bus stations

Want to stay connected to free WiFi on your next weekend trip around Karnataka? Look no further!

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has just introduced free WiFi hotspots at 13 of its largest bus stations across Karnataka, making it the first state transport in India to do so at such a scale.

Bus stations in Bengaluru, Mandya, Mysuru, Madikeri, Hassan,Chikkamagaluru, Dharmastala,Shivamogga, Harihar, Davangere and Tumakuru will be part of the groundbreaking trial roll-out, followed shortly by Kolar and Chitradurga. At these stations, WiFi coverage extends up to 80 meters around the router at each station’s inquiry counter.

The connection lasts for either one hour or 100 MB of usage, whichever comes first. This is well enough for travelers to book last-minute lodging, get oriented in a new city or snap a quick Instagram photo.

All Bangalore KSRTC stations are now in our growing database of verified networks. Download WiFire and stay connected in your city—even when you’re leaving town.

Safe travels, and happy free WiFi surfing!
